Weekly offline day
Tuesday, July 8, 2008
In my efforts to be more productive, and more green I've been making little changes here and there to my daily routines. For the past 3 weeks I've been eating ALL my meals at the dining table, not in the living room at the laptop or in my office at the computer like I usually would. This alone reduces my online dramatically but I'm ready to take things to the next level.
I pledge that one day a week, I will be OFFLINE, all day. I won't go near a computer unless I absolutely HAVE to (if I have to work for example). This means no blogging, no surfing, no blogs, no message boards and definitely no instant messenger.
What do I hope to achieve by doing this? Well I actually hope to achieve SOMETHING rather than sitting at a computer for a few hours, read books, get jobs done around the house, cook, and mostly give my brain, eyes and fingers a rest!

Great blog you have here! I would love to do an offline day. With 3 little ones it wouldn't be hard to find something to do all day besides get online.
Thanks for the image, I may just join in :)
Well, I'm not very good at staying totally offline. Didn't manage it during Melinda's TechFree challenge either (Elements in Time). However, choosing not to write a blog post one day a week might be a good thing for me. Glad the offline day worked well for you!
